Training Weekends

In preparation for this monumental experience up Kilimanjaro, Race2Adventure and Summit2Adventure are hosting (2) three-night trips in Colorado. The idea is to get together, get excited, train, and build confidence for the upcoming adventure in January 2028. Two entirely different trips have been designed for any/all who would like to attend. Each weekend varies by date, destination, and mountain we will summit.
More information on each long weekend will be provided on the upcoming registration form, set to debut March 1, 2026.

Merritt helped orchestrate races with the world’s most popular adventure race of all time, the Eco Challenge, in New Zealand and Fiji. He then went on to be the Logistics Director in Tahoe, Volunteer Director in the San Juan Islands, and Director of Operations in Moab, Utah for The Primal Quest. Since then, Merritt moved on to develop his own race in Costa Rica that pulled elements of an adventure race, but simplified the experience so that just about anyone could be a part of it. After three successful years in Costa Rica, he has executed his concept in Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Chile, Spain, Ireland, and is now introducing it in Central Europe, New Zealand, and Norway!
