What is included in the registration fee?
1 night hotel, 7 nights ship accommodations (double occupancy). Welcome dinner on Night 1 in Athens. 2 meals per day on the ship,welcome and farewell cocktails, open house bar (afternoon of July 29th). Cake, biscuits, fruits, filter coffee, tea and purified water during the day. Watersports. Transport to the ships from the hotel on July 28th. All curated and supervised runs/hikes throughout the week.
What is not included in the registration fee?
Roundtrip airfare to/from Athens Greece, transport from ship to next destination on August 4th, and alcoholic beverages during the majority of our time at sea. Gratuity ($20 per person per day recommended for the crew).
Can I attend this event by myself?
Yes, you can. However, all pricing is based on double occupancy, so be prepared to either make a new friend/roommate, as we will pair you up with someone. That or we’re afraid you would need to pay double if you would like your own hotel room and ship cabin for the week.
How much money might I spend while on the trip?
Your hotel room on night one, coach transportation to/from the ship, seven nights on board, and two meals a day are all covered in the registration fee. Outside of that, think of what you might spend on one meal a day plus alcoholic beverages. That plus a souvenir or two and you’ll have your answer!
Will we have free time throughout the week?
Absolutely! Since there is no packing and unpacking throughout the week, and because we’ll be leisurely sailing around the Greek Isles, there will be plenty of free time on board, in the ocean, and in all of the seaside towns we’ll be docking in.
What type of person typically signs up for a trip like this?
The demographics Race2Adventure attracts are vast, and that’s what makes it so special. It’s easy to find your tribe inside this tribe. Families with young children might be on one of the ships, while 30-50 year olds ready to dance their way through the night might be on another, while 50-70 year olds might like the quiet solace of their own ship a short swim away. Come by yourself or come with a whole crew. We’ll find the perfect spot for you in our Race2Adventure Greek Islands fleet!
Can I pick which ship I’m assigned to?
You may not. However, as part of the registration process, you may select a cabinmate, as well as request shipmates. Each of these ships is fantastic in their own way. There is no wrong choice, only excellent ones.
How many people does each ship hold?
Approximately 48 people per ship with 24 cabins each
Will we mingle with the rest of the R2A fleet?
100%! When we drop anchor in crystal blue bays, all R2A participants are invited to hop from ship to ship to explore, grab a drink, and even jump off into the water. Most evenings we’ll be docked in towns like Paros, Mykonos, and Syros, allowing everyone to congregate in the streets, at restaurants, and in bars.
