8-night European river boat adventure!
What are port fees?
Port fees are exactly what they sound like – fees charged by ports to the cruise line, which are passed on to the passenger. They’re charged not based on the amount paid for a sailing but the number of people – as this is how ports charge. We’ve chosen to be upfront about these fees and have included them in the overall registration fee.
What if I’m not interested in attending the Oktoberfest?
It’s hardly mandatory but highly recommended. There’s a lot to see in Munich, so don’t feel pigeonholed into the celebration. Also, know you can come and go at the Oktoberfest. It’s like a county fairground…on steroids!
The stigma with riverboats is they’re sleepy and skew towards a much older demographic. Is that true?
Yes! If referring to the typical riverboat tour, very true. This boat and this adventure…not true! This boat was built for those looking to break the mold of the river boater. Between the late night bar on the ship, bikes on board, and a themed DJ night, we promise this is not your typical riverboat tour!
What’s the weather like in Central Europe in September?
Perfection. The summer months are arguably too warm, making the idea of hanging on the deck look daunting. September has the best weather for walking, running, cruising, and touring. Average day temps are in the high sixties and low seventies.
What if I want to go on this tour but don’t want to run?
We’re Race2Adventure and the Colorado Brewing Running Series! We only ask that you arrive physically fit and ready for adventure. If that adventure means walking instead of running, that’s absolutely fine. We welcome everyone who is up for the Budafest to Oktoberfest challenge. But if you’re planning to just lie around until the next meal, other riverboat tours may be a better fit for you.
How many people will be on this adventure?
The boat is scheduled to sell out, which means 64 cabins and 128 people
Can I pay for my own cabin if I am by myself?
Yes, but the cost will double. You will essentially take two spots on a boat destined to sell out, so this scenario must assume the cost for two people.
Can we triple up?
All cabins are based on double occupancy. If you are a party of three, one person will be paired up with a solo registrant of the same sex.
What if I miss the boat one day?
You’ll need to find your way back on. We’re one port down the Danube from you!
Is alcohol included or not included?
Soft drinks, coffee, tea, beer, and wine are all included during lunch and dinner each day. Anything consumed outside of those meals is on a cash-bar-basis.
Can I bring my own alcohol on board?
Uniworld and Trafalgar ask that you not bring alcohol on board. More of an honor system than anything else.
What does my registration and port fee not include?
Airfare to and from Europe, transport to and from airports, and meals in Munich.
What does my registration and port fee include?
Everything else! 8 nights’ lodging, three meals a day while on board, all taxes, all gratuities, all docking fees, all walks/runs/races, a DJ night, and much more!
